You can sense monsters with a Brain, most commonly when one of your senses are blocked (e.g. Blind). When searching (looking) for monsters, you will receive the message "Thinks like" and the monster's name.

Gaining the Intrinsic

This intrinsic is granted by a Helm of Telepathy. It can also be gained from eating certain corpses. Floating Eye.
