Intrinsic Purpose

This intrinsic protects you from fire damage and lava. Without this intrinsic, lava would deal fire damage, and set you Aflame.
If you have the Vulnerable to Fire intrinsic, it will negate this intrinsic, leaving you vulnerable again.

Gaining the Intrinsic

This intrinsic can be gained through an artifact.
It can be gained from a Ring of Fire Resistance.
It can also be gained from eating certain corpses. Fire Beetle, Fire Snake, Imp, Daemon, Red Dragon, Red Tridude, Golden Tridude, Baezl'bub.
