Floor 20

Floor 20 looks much like Floor 19, but contains a portal to the Tridude level.

This "cave made of metal" is in fact a spaceship -- if you break a viewport (by digging or Force Bolt), you can be sucked out into space! Naturally, there is no air out there -- you will rapidly die without breathlessness, and moving is difficult without "spacewalk" capability. (You can try throwing stuff to move the other way....) Alas, only tridudes can spacewalk -- this is not an intrinsic you can gain by any means except polymorphing into a tridude of some sort. Note that the viewports self-repair (1 in 5 chance per turn), so you can also be locked out!

On the Tridude level, you'll find lairs for all four types of tridudes (most with unique leaders), plus one for the Golden Tridude. This last has an abundance of artifacts for treasure; otherwise, wands are especially plentiful here. After you clear out the monsters, this area makes an excellent stash location.
