Slot Set

The Slot Set of a creature determines which equipment slots it will have available for use. All creatures are capable of carrying a large number of items in their inventory, but not all of them have item slots to use a given item, or item slots at all. No monster has any slots not granted the basic humanoid, though the existing slots often are renamed to suit their form. Many monsters are denied particular slots not because the body part is missing, but because it's too large, too small, or the wrong shape to use human-style equipment. Note that "Hand" slots are primarily for weapons and shields, but can actually hold anything, including stacks of a few items. Other slots can only hold specific item types, and only one per slot.

The default (humanoid) slots are:
