The Tome of Force leans more towards utility spells than attack, but those utilities are pretty useful! Force Bolt is more effective against objects than monsters, but it can hold off a slower opponent, and its extension Force Wall is one of the few spells that can get a whole crowd off your back in a hurry. Teleport is joined here by two useful variations on the theme -- Blink does short-range but cheap jumps, while Fetch lets you bring opponents, pets, or treasure to you! The invaluable Preserve lets you easily stockpile food... and also doubles as a defense against petrification.
