Intrinsic Purpose

This is a powerful intrinsic. This prevents you from being the target of ALL polymorph actions, and any similar action that would 'change' you, including Bind Soul, wands of Polymorph, and even the divine punishment.

It's important to remember that this also prevents unpolymorph. Meaning that if you get killed while polymorphed, you will not unpoly - you'll just die.

Helpful tip: while a character has "unchanging," it can acquire the "hardening" intrinsic. However, once hardening has run its course, the character will revert to flesh, and not become an objet d'art.

Gaining the Intrinsic

This intrinsic can be gained from an Amulet of Unchanging, from an artifact, or temporarily from the Preserve spell.
