Staves (Bases)

Staves are a special type of weapon that grant their wielder the use of a handful of spells based on the theme of the staff. The base forms described here are randomly assigned to the various magical staves. Most staves are identically poor melee weapons, especially for two-handed weapons. (The "Iron-Shod Staff" is a little better.)

Exception: The "Iron-Shod Staff" has:

Special Details

There are five forms that staves can appear in:

• Bejeweled Staff
• Crook
• Gnarly Staff
• Iron-Shod Staff (more melee damage, and more noise)
• Wooden Staff
