Starting Equipment

Your characters do not go naked into the dungeon... If you have not yet filled your high score table, your new characters will be Agnostic, and will get equipment according to the rules on that page. Once you've played enough games to fill the table, you will be able to choose a starting god, and get equipment more appropriate equipment for that deity (listed on their pages). In all cases, you will get a weapon, body armour, two skill or spell books, one completely-random bonus item and a 10% chance of another bonus item. Your bonus items and books (and sometimes other items) may have minuses or curses!
