Wizard's Eye (Creature)

Encyclopedia
While it is generally believed that the floating eye is a result of a magic experiment, it wasn't until Pqar the Prudent developed the wizard's eye spell that there was any proof. Her spell was created by studying the existent floating eyes so possess the same unusual attack ability. She further augmented the summoned creatures by shifting their phase so they can float through solid stone - all the better for spying.

Attack Information
The Wizard's Eye has the same attacks as a Floating Eye: The "gaze" does 1 point of damage and inflicts Position Revealed (like the Track spell) for 4d5 turns. When attacked, it has a 75% chance of a "hitback" attack, a "stare" which does 1 point of damage and paralyzes the attacker for 1d20+1 turns. Blindness will protect against both attacks.
Additional Information
- The Wizard's Eye is produced by its namesake spell.
- It can move across any terrain, and even through walls.
- It has a light radius of 2
Tips and Strategies
The Eye can also pick up objects and carry them back to you (or leave them embedded in walls, if you're not careful). It may be worthwhile to drop a Wand of Invisibility for it to zap itself before setting out.
