Encyclopedia
One of the most feared elementals, water elementals combine an extraordinary strength with a truly sinister attack. When hit by a water elemental, one takes little direct damage. A part of the elemental dislodges itself, however, and blocks your trachea. Many a brave adventurer has met a miserable death by drowning despite having slain the elemental.

Tips and Strategies
- The splash is a melee attack, so try to avoid close-range combat.
- Seek out an artifact providing the breathless intrinsic.
- Setting it afire is less effective than you might hope; it will just cast Down Pour on itself.
- Do not eat the corpse of a water elemental! (As of Version 115, they no longer leave corpses.)
